BEHIND THE LENS

Anysia Deák is a passionate director and editor living in Los Angeles, CA. She graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) in 2022 with a BA in Film & Digital Media, concentrating in film production, and a second BA in Legal Studies.

​

After graduating, Anysia joined the Physical Production department at Independent Artist Group (IAG) where she built strong relationships with below-the-line talent and studio executives. Through her time at IAG, Anysia has gained an in-depth understanding of the inner workings of the entertainment industry.

As a freelance editor, Anysia has worked on diverse projects including a sci-fi film with intricate visual effects, a documentary about a purportedly wrongfully convicted prisoner, a subtle romance, and even a sports podcast. In 2024, Anysia served as the Assistant Editor on the horror feature Screamboat.

 

With a strong foundation in both the art and business of filmmaking, Anysia is committed to bringing technical precision and creative vision to every project.
